Annual consumption: 10,000 × 4 = 40 tonnes/year. Annual cost: 40,000 kg × $1.20 = $48,000/year.

If Thiourea Dioxide testing establishes an effective dosage of 2 kg/t at $2.00/kg: 10,000 × 2 = 20 tonnes/year, and 20,000 × $2.00 = $40,000/year.
