Will Thiourea Dioxide Damage Polyester Fabric?

Under properly controlled conditions, Thiourea Dioxide can be used for polyester reduction processing.

However, over-reduction, excessive alkalinity, excessive temperature or excessive treatment time can affect textile quality, just as aggressive chemical processing can with other reducing systems.

Therefore, the customer test should measure the following properties before and after the Thiourea Dioxide trial: tensile strength, tear strength, whiteness, ΔE, K/S, washing fastness and fabric hand.

The objective is equivalent or improved cleaning performance without unacceptable fabric-property loss.
