Yes, Thiourea Dioxide has reducing applications in pulp and paper chemistry, including selected bleaching/deinking processes.

However, textile reduction clearing and paper deinking are different process systems. Therefore we recommend a separate paper-industry test protocol rather than directly transferring a textile recipe.

For paper customers, the evaluation should focus on brightness, whiteness, ink removal, ERIC, dirt count, fiber yield, COD, chemical consumption and final pulp quality.
